«Жетісу» medical information system for Kazakhstan

Жетісу is a medical information system that companies in Kazakhstan have been using for many years. It is included in the list of medical digital systems maintained by the Republican Centre for Electronic Health and works with the Ministry of Health’s government services: СУР, РПН, ЭРСБ and others.

From 12 July 2026, companies will be required to record appointments in a medical digital system connected to SUR-2.0 and the National Electronic Health Passport. The availability of such a system and a contract with its provider are checked when issuing a licence, a licence annex and during preventive inspections. The integration lets you meet this requirement without changing the way you manage bookings.

How it works
• In Altegio: online booking, staff schedules, client database and visit history, payments and cash register, payroll, stock, marketing and analytics.
• In «Жетісу»: the medical part of the appointment, electronic medical records, reporting and data exchange with the Ministry of Health’s government services.
• Between the systems: the appointment from Altegio is automatically added to the doctor’s schedule in the medical information system, so the same appointment does not need to be entered twice.

Data and legal requirements
Booking data is transferred from Altegio to «Жетісу»: the client’s name and contact details, service, specialist, IIN, appointment date and time.

The patient’s medical record, appointment protocol, medical history, diagnoses, prescriptions and recommendations are created and stored in «Жетісу» and are not exported to Altegio. «Жетісу» is a digital healthcare entity in the Republic of Kazakhstan and stores personal medical data on servers located in Kazakhstan, as required by the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On People’s Health and the Healthcare System» dated 7 July 2020 No. 360-VI and the Rules for the collection, processing, storage, protection and provision of personal medical data by digital healthcare entities (Order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 14 April 2021 No. ҚР ДСМ-30).

One-way data transfer is not only convenient, but also helps meet these requirements: the medical data environment remains in the accredited medical information system.
