Services section overview

The Services section is where you set up your full list of offered services.

Here you can organize services into categories, configure their settings, specify which team members provide them, create complex services involving multiple team members or assistants (4, 6, or more hands), set up how services appear in different languages in online booking, and link resources.

This section helps you build a clear, easy-to-use catalog that affects how online booking works, how team members’ schedules are built, and how smoothly your business runs.

What you can configure in this section #

Service catalog structure #

  • Create categories, for example: Haircuts, Coloring, Manicure, Cosmetology.
  • Add services within categories and manage their settings: name, price, duration, image, online booking availability, resources, and translations.
  • Assign team members to the services they provide.

Multilingual support #

In salons that serve clients in multiple languages (for example, Russian + Kazakh; Polish + English; Czech + Ukrainian), you can set up translations for service names.

As a result:

  • in the online booking widget, each service will be shown in the client’s language;
  • this increases trust and conversion;
  • it helps attract additional customer segments.

Uploading services via Excel #

If you already have a list of services, you can easily move it into the system:

  • no need to create every service manually;
  • a single Excel file uploads the entire catalog in just a couple of minutes;
  • useful when migrating from other systems.

Article:

Package services #

This section lets you create services that are performed simultaneously or sequentially by multiple specialists, and set separate prices for these services.

Examples:

  • Complex coloring + toning by two specialists;
  • 4-hand massage;
  • Manicure + pedicure at the same time.

This speeds up service delivery and helps distribute workload effectively among specialists.

Individual pricing for team members #

The price of the same service can vary by specialist: a top master may cost more; a trainee may cost less; pricing can depend on qualification, category, or experience.

This is a flexible pricing system that’s essential for salons with specialists of different levels.

Article:

Technical breaks between services #

This tool lets you add extra time after a service so the specialist can: prepare the workspace, clean tools, sanitize, take a short break between clients, and get ready for the next service.

The break is added to the schedule automatically, which prevents overlaps and reduces the workload for team members.

Resources in services #

In addition to duration, price, and providers, Altegio supports resources—rooms, chairs, equipment, or any objects required to deliver a service.

Resources are physical or virtual units whose availability must be considered during booking.
For example: a cosmetologist’s room, a solarium, a massage table, or a laser hair removal machine.

Using resources helps avoid conflicts and double-booking of equipment.
