To send messages via SMS aggregators, you need to sign an agreement with one of Altegio’s partners. The partner list will continue to expand, and you’ll always be able to switch to an aggregator with more favorable terms.
What you can do with SMS aggregators #
- Send SMS messages at the aggregators’ market rates.
- Use hybrid delivery to messengers. For example, a message is sent to Viber first, and if it isn’t delivered, it’s sent via SMS. This helps reduce messaging costs.
- Set up custom SMS templates inside the aggregator. This allows messages to be identified as service messages and reduces SMS campaign costs.
How to set up message sending #
To start sending SMS campaigns, follow these steps:
Step 1. Connect an SMS aggregator #
You can connect one of the SMS aggregators to your location in Altegio, send messages through them directly, and pay for SMS messages based on the prices regulated by mobile operators. Each provider also supports bulk messaging.
Campaigns become available after the SMS sender name is approved — this is a requirement from telecom operators. You will need to approve the sender name with the SMS aggregators.
When sending messages to CIS or European countries, the SMS sender name is preserved. In some exceptional cases, messages may be sent from a generic sender name. You can уточнить the details with the aggregators.
