Altegio allows businesses to accept cashless online payments from clients through the online booking widget and by sending a payment link. Once you have signed a contract with a payment processing partner (learn more about connecting Stripe), you need to configure the settings in Altegio.
Important: Altegio does not charge any commission for payments. The bank commission depends on the selected payment provider.
Connecting and Configuring Online Payments
Access the Settings:
Go to Finance > Online Payments or Settings > Finance > Online Payments.
Choose the Payment Methods:
Select the preferred cashless payment options:
QR Code Payment on Site
Payment via Link
Prepayment in the Online Booking Form
Online Sale of Memberships and Gift Certificates
Click “Connect” or “Set up” to proceed.
In the Online Payments section of a location, you can configure all online payment methods except for the online sale of memberships and certificates.
After clicking “Set up” for this payment method, the Online sales section will open.
Learn More About Each Payment Method:
Click the “How does it work?” button in the settings card.
A pop-up window will appear with a description and examples.
Enter Your Payment System Credentials:
Provide the necessary details from your payment provider account to enable online payments.
These details can be found in your payment provider’s dashboard or sent to you via email/messaging platforms (depending on the provider).
If you haven’t yet signed a contract with a payment provider, you can proceed with the connection from this section.
Enter the Provider’s Parameters:
The required details can be found in your provider’s interface.
For Stripe:
“Publishable key” and “Secret key” are located in Stripe > For Developers. “Signing secret” can be found in Developers > API Keys.
Cashless Online Payment Methods in Altegio
Clients can pay for services directly through the online booking widget.
You need to select the services or staff members for which online payment will be enabled.
The setup process varies between different widget versions (classic and new design).
