With the Yandex Maps service, businesses can attract new clients who can book services online directly through the platform.
Key Features:
- You can integrate an online booking widget into the Yandex Maps interface. Yandex will generate its own widget based on your Altegio location data.
- Clients can book services directly through this widget—no need to visit your website, use another app, or call.
- Additionally, they can navigate to your location right from the app, simplifying the booking process and improving customer convenience.
- You can track bookings made via Yandex Maps under “Overview” > “Bookings”, where the source column will indicate “Partners: Yandex Maps.”
Important Notes
- Online booking is available for most business categories, except for some, mainly in the medical and automotive sectors. A full list of eligible categories is available via the provided link.
- If your company has a paid advertising subscription or priority placement on Yandex Maps, the online booking button from the integration app will not be displayed.
- For priority placements, you can manually add a booking link to the action button by ensuring that the “Link” field in your Yandex Maps account contains your Altegio booking form URL.
Steps to Add a Booking Link for Priority Placement:
- Log in to your Yandex Maps advertising campaign.
- Go to the “Advertising Materials” section.
- Select an active action button.
- Choose “Book Online” from the list.
- Enter your Altegio booking widget link in the format https://nXXXXXX.alteg.io in the “Link” field.
- You can copy this link from “Online Booking” > “Booking Forms” in Altegio.
Integration Requirements
- Your business must be in a Yandex Maps-approved category.
- You must have a paid Altegio subscription (trial versions are not supported).
- Integration is free for all companies in eligible categories.
- Your business profile on Yandex Maps will only appear if at least one individual service is available for online booking.
- Group event bookings will not be displayed in the Yandex Maps widget.
Setting Up the Integration
- Ensure your business is listed on Yandex Maps.
- In Altegio, go to “Integrations” > “Online Booking” and select “Yandex Maps.”
- Click “Connect” on the integration page.
4. Enter the business name and address as they appear on Yandex Maps. The details in Altegio must match the ones in Yandex Maps for the listing to appear
5. Click “Connect.”
Once integrated, the “Book Online” button will appear on Yandex Maps within 7-10 days.
- If the button does not appear after this period, contact Yandex support and check if the data in Altegio’s integration settings is correct.
Additional Notes
- If a duplicate business profile appears on Yandex Maps, you can report it directly in your Yandex Maps organization profile under “Overview” > “Report an Inaccuracy.”
- Online payments and product sales are currently not available via the Yandex Maps booking widget.
- When booking through Yandex Maps, SMS confirmation codes will be sent by Yandex.
