Online booking widgets can be configured both for individual businesses and for chains with multiple branches. For more details about the chain interface, see the article Creating a chain.
A chain widget allows the user to choose the required branch at the first step of online booking.
New form #
- Go to Online booking > Online booking links in the main menu.
- To add a new online booking link, click New link. In the window that opens, select Create a general link.

- Next, specify the name and description (optional) — this information will be visible only to internal Altegio users.
- Select the required link settings:
- Which services are available for booking: individual, group, or both individual and group.
- Default online booking language. This is the language the client will see when opening the online booking link; if needed, they can change the language in their personal account (authorization in the personal account is not required to change the language).
- Chain. This is the main setting for creating a chain link — be sure to select the chain that will be used in this widget.
- Select the map type. In addition to Google Maps, you can choose Apple Maps or Leaflet to display branch geolocation in the widget.
- Check Make this link main if you want to use this link for integrations with partner platforms.
- Click Create.

A chain form is marked with a special “Chain” icon next to its name.

By default, a new location already has a non-chain primary online booking link created. It cannot be made a chain link until at least one additional link is created in the location.
