Google Tag Manager<\/strong> (GTM) lets you manage analytics and advertising tags \u2014 Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Meta Pixel and others \u2014 in one place without changing your website code. Once the integration is connected, your GTM container loads in the online booking form, and client actions in the form (opening the form, choosing a service, team member and time, creating an appointment) are sent to GTM as events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before setting up the integration, create an account and a container in Google Tag Manager<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 To connect\/disconnect<\/strong> the integration, the same user access rights are required as for Google Analytics: the Settings<\/strong> section: Manage users<\/strong> \u2014 Manage user rights<\/strong> (any of the rights), and access to the Online booking<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 To add, edit or delete containers, access to the Online booking<\/strong> section is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Only one container can be connected to a single online booking form. One container can be connected to several forms. To use different containers, create additional online booking forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 The container is set only in the integration settings. It cannot be passed through a parameter in the online booking link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 If Google Analytics is also connected to the form and your GTM container contains a GA4 tag for the same data stream, events will be counted twice. Keep only one way of sending data to Google Analytics 4.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Getting the container ID<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. In Google Tag Manager<\/strong>, create a container with the Web<\/strong> target platform or open an existing one.<\/li>\n\n
  2. Copy the container ID<\/strong>: it is shown at the top of the workspace next to the container name and has the format GTM-XXXXXXX<\/code>.<\/li>\n\n
  3. Set up the tags you need and publish<\/strong> the container: click Submit<\/strong>, then Publish<\/strong>. Tags do not fire in the online booking form until the container is published.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    How to connect the integration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    1. In Altegio, go to Administration<\/strong> mode, Integrations > Analytics<\/strong> section and select the Google Tag Manager<\/strong> application. On the page that opens, click Connect<\/strong>, then Continue<\/strong>. The Settings<\/strong> tab opens.<\/li>\n\n
    2. Enter the previously copied identifier into the Container ID<\/strong> field in the format GTM-XXXXXXX<\/code>.<\/li>\n\n
    3. In the Online booking forms<\/strong> field, select the forms the container should be connected to.<\/li>\n\n
    4. Click Connect Google Tag Manager<\/strong>. The container appears in the list.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      The online booking form sends Google Tag Manager the same events as Google Analytics. See the list of events<\/strong><\/a> and their parameters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
