What is it and what is it for?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of calculating turnover<\/strong> is to understand how quickly your inventory is being sold on average, and how quickly you are able to recover the money you invested in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turnover <\/strong>is the ratio of the speed of sales to the average inventory stock for the period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turnover report<\/strong> can be viewed in the Analytical Reports > Inventory<\/strong> ><\/strong>\u00a0Inventory<\/strong> turnover analysis<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report contains the following information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Products<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Supplier<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Quantity of received products<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Remaining products at the beginning and at the end of the period<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Volume of sales <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Average inventory (stock)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Turnover in days and turnover in transactions<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Inventory level of the products<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    How to read the report?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    To create a report, go to the\u00a0Analytical Reports > Inventory<\/strong> ><\/strong>\u00a0Inventory<\/strong> turnover analysis<\/strong> section. Filter the list by the required items and click the\u00a0\u201cShow\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Filters that can be used in the report:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Period<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Product categories<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Suppliers (partners)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Storages\/inventories<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      The data in the Product<\/strong> column is presented as clickable links. Click the link in the Product column to go to the product card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      To calculate the turnover, you need to have 3 parameters<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Period<\/strong>: a week, a month, a quarter or a year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Average inventory (stock) for the period.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Product turnover for the period<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Average inventory (stock) for the period<\/strong> \u2013 the average value of the stock for the period (annual average, monthly average), is defined as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        PS1, PS2, \u2026PSn<\/strong> \u2013 the size of the product stock for separate dates of the analyzed period;        

        n<\/strong> \u2013 the number of dates in the period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Turnover in days <\/strong>shows how many days it takes to sell the average stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Turnover in transactions<\/strong> shows how many times the product is \u201cturned over\u201d and sold during the period.Inventory level of the products<\/strong> is the ratio of available stock to the expected average daily turnover for the upcoming period. It is calculated in days of turnover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
