{"id":1449,"date":"2024-11-23T04:58:33","date_gmt":"2024-11-23T04:58:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/support-landing.altegio.cloud\/support\/4847114440093-settings-access-rights\/"},"modified":"2026-02-09T13:49:19","modified_gmt":"2026-02-09T13:49:19","password":"","slug":"4847114440093-settings-access-rights","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/alteg.io\/en\/support\/knowledge-base\/4847114440093-settings-access-rights\/","title":{"rendered":"Settings access rights"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The main purpose of restricting access rights to this section is to protect <strong>Altegio<\/strong> from <strong>changes made without management approval that could harm the company\u2019s image and internal business processes. <\/strong>This permission should be granted only to team members with extended authority (e.g., a manager or company owner).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, a receptionist may only need the right to edit team members\u2019 work schedules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Important<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this section, you can allow or prohibit team members from <strong>managing access rights. <\/strong>This setting assumes a team member can manage other members\u2019 access permissions at their own discretion and without approval from management. If you don\u2019t want a team member to change key location parameters, you <strong>should not<\/strong> grant this permission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Access to the \u201cInformation\u201d section<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Grants access to <strong>Settings &gt; My location &gt; Business Information<\/strong>, where contact details, location description, photos, and legal\/company details are configured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Manage team members with access<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>A root permission that allows configuring other team members\u2019 permissions and managing their access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Remove team members with access<\/strong> \u2014 allows removing other team members\u2019 access to the location.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Removing access does not delete a team member&#8217;s personal account in Altegio; it only removes their access to the location.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Invite team members with access to location management<\/strong> \u2014 allows granting location access to new team members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Configure notifications for team members with access<\/strong> \u2014 allows managing other team members\u2019 notifications on the <strong>Notifications<\/strong> tab in the team member settings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Manage team members rights with access<\/strong> \u2014 allows the team member to assign and change other team members\u2019 access permissions.<br><br>Choose one of the options:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Manage all permissions<\/strong> \u2014 the team member can grant and revoke any access permissions without restrictions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Manage permissions within their own set of permissions<\/strong> \u2014 allows granting only the permissions that the team member has themselves.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>For example, if they have the full set of permissions in the <strong>Inventory<\/strong> section, but only part of the permissions in the <strong>All Clients<\/strong> section, they will be able to grant all Inventory permissions and only part of the All Clients permissions \u2014 but not more than they have themselves.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Access to the \u201cServices\u201d section<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>A root permission that grants access to <strong>Settings &gt; Main settings &gt; Services<\/strong>.<br>This permission alone is not enough to fully manage services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this permission, a team member can: open the <strong>Services<\/strong> section, view categories and services, export the service list to Excel.<br>Any changes in the Services section are available only if additional permissions are granted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Create services<\/strong> \u2014 on its own, this permission does not allow creating categories and services.<br>To create them, you also need: the permission to edit services, plus additional permissions listed below.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Edit services<\/strong> \u2014 allows editing and deleting categories. For services, this permission allows changing: service type (individual\/group), group service capacity, receipt name, repeat-visit reminder settings, membership write-off, translations into other languages, enabling\/disabling online booking on the quick-access panel, category and service order.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, choose which actions to grant access to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Service name and online booking name<\/strong> \u2014 allows changing the service name. The online booking name can be changed only for a category; for services, the <strong>Service display in the widget<\/strong> permission is required. If the service is chain-wide, its name can be changed only at the chain level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Service category<\/strong> \u2014 allows changing the category the service belongs to. Does not allow editing the category itself. For chain services, the category can be changed only at the chain level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Service price<\/strong> \u2014 grants access to changing the base service price, team member-specific prices, tax system, and VAT.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Upload and edit images<\/strong> \u2014 this permission alone is not enough. Uploading images also requires the <strong>Service display in the widget<\/strong> permission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Service display in the widget<\/strong> \u2014 grants access to settings on the <strong>Online booking<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Online payment for the service<\/strong> \u2014 allows configuring online payment for the service on the <strong>Online Booking<\/strong> tab. Also requires the <strong>Service display in the widget<\/strong> permission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Service resources<\/strong> \u2014 allows attaching and detaching resources in the service settings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Change team member services and their duration<\/strong> \u2014 allows assigning services to team members and changing an individual service duration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Edit bill of materials<\/strong> \u2014 allows attaching bill of materials to professionals assigned to the service.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Delete services<\/strong> \u2014 grants access to deleting services. Deleting chain-wide services is possible only at the chain level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"5\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Access to the \u201cTeam\u201d section<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>A root permission that grants access to <strong>Settings &gt; Main settings &gt; Team<\/strong>.<br>By itself, it does not allow full team member management \u2014 additional permissions are required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this permission, a team member can open the section, see the list of team members and part of their settings, but cannot make changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Create team members<\/strong> \u2014 allows adding new team members by specifying their name and position. However, to fully set up a team member (assign services, enable online booking, etc.), additional permissions are required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Edit team members<\/strong> \u2014 allows changing almost all team member settings and expands capabilities during creation.<br>Does not include:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>changing team member\u2019s services \u2014 requires <strong>Services &gt; Change team member services and their duration<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>managing access rights \u2014 requires <strong>Manage team member with access<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>managing payroll calculation schemes \u2014 requires a permission from <strong>Finance &gt; Access to payroll calculation schemes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Delete team members<\/strong> \u2014 allows completely deleting a team member and all related data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dismiss team members<\/strong> \u2014 allows dismissing a team member. Unlike deletion, it keeps all statistics about their work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"6\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Access to the \u201cPositions\u201d section<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>A root permission that grants access to <strong>Settings &gt; Main settings &gt; Positions<\/strong>.<br>Only location positions can be edited. Chain-wide positions can be edited only at the chain level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Create positions<\/strong> \u2014 allows adding new positions via the Positions section or when creating\/editing a team member.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Delete positions<\/strong> \u2014 allows deleting positions from the location. Deletion is possible only if no team members are assigned to the position.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"7\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Edit work schedule<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Allows configuring the schedule in <strong>Settings &gt; Main settings &gt; Work Schedule<\/strong>.<br>In the new interface, this permission is also required to edit schedules via: the <strong>Schedule<\/strong> tab in the team member profile card, and the <strong>Team<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"8\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Access to the \u201cSMS notifications\u201d section<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Relevant only for the old interface (<strong>Settings &gt; System settings &gt; Notifications<\/strong>). To access notification settings, the <strong>Access to Notification types<\/strong> permission is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"9\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Access to the \u201cEmail notifications\u201d section<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Also relevant only for the old interface (<strong>Settings &gt; System settings &gt; Notifications<\/strong>).
