To upload a product list from Excel:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to Products ><\/strong> All products<\/strong> (Administration mode).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click the name of the category you want to upload products into, or create a new one. All categories must be created before uploading.
    If you\u2019re uploading into multiple different categories, make sure your Excel file includes a separate column where you specify the category ID<\/strong> the product should be added to.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Category ID<\/strong> is the category\u2019s unique number in Altegio. To find the category ID, go to Products > All products<\/strong> in the main menu and click the required category name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In the address bar, you\u2019ll see a link like this, where the number (e.g., 923703<\/strong>) is the category ID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. In the top-right corner, click Excel actions<\/strong> and select Import from Excel<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. Prepare an Excel table with your product list. The table must contain product names.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        If needed, you can add extra parameters in separate columns:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Product category ID<\/strong> (for uploading into different categories)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Receipt name<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • SKU<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Barcode<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Sale price<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Cost price<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Unit of measure for sale<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Unit of measure for write-off<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Write-off units per sale unit<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Net weight<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Gross weight<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Critical stock<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Desired stock<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Comment<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Prices<\/strong> must be entered without digit grouping and without letters (use 1500<\/strong>, not 1 500$<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          For units of measure, enter the full or short name (e.g., Piece<\/strong> or ml<\/strong>). If the unit isn\u2019t found in the list, Piece<\/strong> will be set by default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          You can check the correct unit names on the upload page opened in step 3. You can use either abbreviations or full names.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          The product comment must not contain line breaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. Copy the data from the Excel table into the input field and click Upload<\/strong>. You can upload up to 500 rows<\/strong> at a time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. In the new window, match the uploaded data to the table headers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. Click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            Note<\/strong>

            You can use this same process to update existing product data (for example, prices). To do that, export products to Excel via Excel actions > Export to Excel<\/strong>, then upload the same file back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Note that units of measure for products that already have operations can only be corrected manually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
