Gift cards are sold in the same way that every product is sold: either in the appointment tab or through inventory operation with the Sale of product<\/strong> type.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before sale create gift card types<\/strong> <\/a>as well as perform products arrival to the Inventory<\/strong><\/a> to avoid receiving negative balance after the sale.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sale in the appointment window<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sale of gift cards is performed in the same way as sale of any other product. In the Status <\/strong>tab in the Add service\/product<\/strong> section enter the name of the gift card or select it from the list.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Difference between the sale of gift cards and the sale of products is that for each gift card sold you need to indicate its unique code<\/strong>. You will need to enter the code yourself. For instance, it could be the last 4 digits of the client\u2019s phone number. If your client buys their certificate a few times a year then you can add month and year of sale to those numbers. Said code allows you to leave this gift card unassigned to a specific client. If the certificate is purchased as a gift then another person will be able to use it.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You cannot change the number of gift cards sold because each gift card will have its own unique code. Additional gift cards need to be added as another product.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Sale using inventory operation<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Using this option you can sell a gift card either in the Appointment Calendar<\/strong> or in the Proucts > Inventory Management<\/strong> section.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>In the Appointment calendar<\/strong> you can perform a sale of a product without assigning it to a visit. Go to the payments for the day section and click the Sale of product<\/strong> button, Altegio will then transfer you to the transaction page in the Products > Inventory Management <\/strong>section where you will be able to sell the gift card (read about inventory operations with the Sale of product<\/strong> type here). If you selected a gift card with a code then indicate the code manually or click the button \"______________________115000525305__________________-_1.png\" to generate the code automatically.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can create the sale operation straight in the Products > Inventory Management<\/strong> section without using the Appointment Calendar<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
