Memberships are sold similarly to regular products \u2014 either during a visit or through an inventory operation with the type Product sale.<\/strong> Before selling a membership you have to create a membership type<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you restrict selling products with a negative stock or want to track membership inventory, make sure to record a product arrival<\/a> <\/strong>entry for membership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selling via the Visit Window<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Selling a membership works just like selling any other product. In the Payment<\/strong> tab, under the Products<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click the arrow and enter the membership name or select it from the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The key difference between selling a membership and regular products is that each membership sold must be assigned a unique code<\/strong> (unless the \u201cPersonalized Subscription\u201d option is enabled in the membership type settings).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You assign this code manually \u2014 for example, the last four digits of the client\u2019s phone number. If the client buys a membership multiple times a year, you can add the month and year to these digits. You can also automatically generate a code using the \u201cGenerate code\u201d<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important<\/strong>

The code (for a non-personalized membership) allows the membership to remain unlinked to a specific client. If the membership is a gift, someone else can use it to pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the \u201cPersonalized membership\u201d<\/strong> option is selected in the membership type settings, then the membership can only<\/strong> be used by the client who purchased it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The quantity of memberships sold cannot be changed<\/strong>, since each membership has a unique code. Additional membership must be added as separate products.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Selling via Inventory Operations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Using this method, you can sell a membership in Digital Schedule <\/strong>mode or in Administration<\/strong> mode under Products > Inventory Management<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Digital Schedule<\/strong>, you can sell a product without linking the sale to an appointment. On the top panel, click Sell > Membership<\/strong>. A window will open where you can sell the membership. For more information about an inventory transaction with the Product sale<\/strong> type, see here. If you select a membership with a code, enter the code manually or click the button with the circular arrow to generate the code automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also create a sales transaction directly in Products > Inventory Management<\/strong> without using the appointment calendar. To do this, click Product Management > Product operations > Product sale<\/strong> in the upper-right corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
